PUblishing Radical Works of Inspiration
With distribution from Simon & Schuster, we are committed to supporting emerging authors, not based on the size of their following but on the quality of their stories.
We believe that books are powerful enough to build a platform, creating conversation and community. Through our stories, we heal ourselves, but also, we free each other.
As Seen In….
-
Editorial & Production
Rise Books offers full editorial, coaching, and ghostwriting services depending on the needs of our authors. After an initial consultation, we will help you determine what level of support you need, and connect you with a writer or editor who can bring your vision to life. Once you have produced a final draft, we work with Neuwirth Productions to design and develop either a paperback or hardcover version of your book. As part of our production services, Rise Books oversees cover design, interior design, advanced readers copies, as well as the copyedits and succeeding passes of your book, as we take it from manuscript to publication.
-
Marketing & Publicity
Rise Books is a rare hybrid that makes publicity and marketing a standard support in every book we publish. Once authors have completed their final draft, they begin working with our Director of Marketing + Publicity to craft their marketing strategy, begin networking with their media contacts, and start outreach to local, national, and digital media networks. Once the publication date approaches, Rise Books helps authors begin to implement their book release publicity, including scheduling tour dates, booking media, podcasts, and other outlets, and supporting authors through publication and beyond.
-
Sales & Distribution
Rise Books has a prestigious sales and distribution deal with Simon & Schuster, offering national distribution across all retailers, including Barnes & Noble, Amazon, speciality shops, independent booksellers, and Canadian retailers. Ascend works directly with sales reps in all retail markets to pitch our authors and their books, driving pre-sales and visibility within the book publishing industry. In addition, Rise Books offers access to subsidiary sales support, including but not limited to e-books, audiobooks, foreign rights, and TV & film development. Rise Books is a unique publisher, offering the services and supports of a traditional publisher in a hybrid package.
Find Your Path to Publishing
At Rise Literary, we don’t just publish books—we build authors. Through our hybrid publishing house, Rise Books, we help you write, publish, and market your full-length book with the kind of care and attention that you and your story deserve.
Unlike most hybrid presses, Rise Books is distributed by Simon & Schuster, which means your work doesn’t just sit online—it has national and international reach. Add to that: professional editing, gorgeous design, publicity that actually moves the needle, and marketing strategies built for real humans, not algorithms. We create bespoke, deeply personal opportunities for you to share your book, amplify your ideas, and step fully into your new life as a celebrated author.
Your book deserves a true creative partnership. And your investment deserves to pay off in impact, reach, and recognition. Rise Books publishes fiction and nonfiction that carries the spark of radical inspiration—books that shift lives, culture, and the world.
